Omnia Voice vs Bland
Both of us take enterprise seriously and both offer self-hosting. Where we differ is the architecture, who owns the phone bill, and where the audio lives.
Bland targets security-conscious enterprises, and does it credibly — self-hosted models, low latency, compliance. Of everyone in this category their positioning is closest to ours, which makes this the most useful comparison on the site and the hardest one to write without slipping into noise.
So here is the honest version. Not "we are enterprise too" — we have enterprise customers in production today, including self-hosted deployments — but where the two systems genuinely differ.
Choose Bland if
- You want the larger, better-funded vendor, and vendor scale is a decisive factor in your procurement
- You want a single all-inclusive invoice covering telephony as well as the AI
- You are buying primarily for the US market
Those are real. Scale matters in a procurement process, and a single invoice is genuinely simpler to buy.
Choose Omnia if
- You want telephony to stay yours — your carrier, your negotiated rates, unresold
- Your audio has to stay in the EU, as a default rather than a configuration
- Your callers are not all English speakers, and accents, names and mid-call switching have to survive a phone line
- You want the AI cost to be one forecastable number
One system, not an assembly
Omnia connects audio directly to the reasoning layer. There is no speech-to-text stage in the middle, which is where round-trip time goes and where nuance gets dropped. One design decision, two consequences worth having:
Speed. About 250 milliseconds to first response, because processing starts while the caller is still speaking rather than after a transcript is finished.
Robustness. Accents, proper nouns, and callers who switch language mid-sentence survive, because there is no transcription step to flatten them first. That is what 50+ languages means in practice — not a list on a pricing page, but comprehension over a narrowband phone line, at conversational pace.

Enterprise, concretely
"Enterprise-ready" is a claim everyone makes, so here is what it means here.
Real enterprises, in production. Veikkaus, Elisa, Eltel Networks and MySpeaker run on Omnia today, alongside deployments delivered through our partners.
Self-hosting is in production, not on a roadmap. Enterprise customers run Omnia inside their own infrastructure today. The same API serves our cloud, dedicated GPU capacity, and a fully self-hosted deployment — moving between them does not change integration code.
EU data residency is the default, not a region you select. For a European regulator, a DPO, or a customer contract that forbids audio leaving the jurisdiction, that is the difference between being on a shortlist and not.
The telephony layer beneath us is enterprise infrastructure. Our partner Setera operates cloud PBX and SIP across more than fifty countries for organisations including Nokia, DHL and Microsoft. Voice AI that cannot survive contact with real enterprise telephony is a demo.
Integration partners with their own reputations. Nitor — three hundred engineers, delivering for Finnair, Posti and OP Financial Group — builds on this platform. Houston Inc. deploys it for Telia and Wärtsilä. Those firms staked their own delivery on it.
Cost
Neither of us charges per component, and neither of us resells your phone bill. The difference is the rate.

The first two rates are self-serve: sign up and start. The volume rate is negotiated rather than unlocked automatically, so talk to us if you are running at scale.
Telephony is not included and we do not resell it. Bring Twilio, Telnyx, Setera, or the SIP trunks you already have, and pay them directly. Bland works the same way — its published rates cover the AI, with telephony billed separately on your own carrier or theirs at pass-through cost.
Bland's published rates are $0.14/minute on Start, $0.12 on Build and $0.11 on Scale. Ours is $0.08 flat, before any volume conversation. On a hundred thousand minutes a year that is a difference worth checking, though it is rarely the whole decision — read the language and deployment sections above first, as they change the answer more than the rate does.
Self-hosting as an exit route
Worth stating plainly, and it applies to both of us: self-hosting is not only a deployment preference, it is insurance. If a vendor is acquired, pivots, or sunsets a service, a self-hosted customer keeps running.
That is a good reason to prefer either Bland or Omnia over a purely hosted platform — and a fair question to put to both of us in procurement.

The honest summary
If vendor scale and a single all-inclusive invoice decide it for you, Bland is a serious answer and this page will not talk you out of it.
If your audio has to stay in Europe, your callers do not all speak English, or you would rather keep the carrier relationship and the rates you already negotiated — that is where the two systems actually part company.
